RANCHI: It took almost two years for the state government to give its nod to pay fixation of six officers of the central paramilitary force, who were sent here on deputation in 2009.
Last week, after nearly 19 months, the government had fixed the pay of six officers on three years deputation for carrying out an anti-Naxalite operation. With half the period of deputation over, six officers three each from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Border Security Force (BSF) were posted on deputation in October 2009, in six Naxalite-hit districts of Ranchi, Khunti, Palamu, Gumla, Giridih and West Singhbhum.

After a lot of dilly-dallying and raising the issue at different platforms, chief minister Arjun Munda gave his nod last week and a notification in this regard was issued by the state home department for pay fixation of the six officers. DGP G S Rath confirmed that notification for pay fixation has been issued. "There was a delay but now everything is in place," said Rath.
