On BSF day people will also witness the heart throbbing Dare Devil BSF Motor Cycle show by the Name ?JANBAZ?. BSF Motor Cycle team was started in the year 1990 with the aim to display dare devil shows riding 350 cc Enfield bullet motor cycle bikes.
Over the period of time the team has achieved many successes by performing dare devils shows at various national occasions throughout the country and brought laurels to this elite Force. Needless to say, BSF, an elite force of the country, was raised on 1st Dec 1965 with the primary responsibility to safeguard International Borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. These borders, were manned by respective state Armed Police. However, the armed aggression by Pak forces, on 9th April 1965, against Sardar Post, Chhar Bet and Beria Bet in Gujarat exposed the necessity of a uniform force to safeguard these sensitive borders.
The need of the hour was a force that was trained like army to guard the borders and worked like police to check Trans border crimes. With the recommendations of a committee of secretaries, the Border Security Force came into being on 1st Dec 1965 under the dynamic leadership of Shri K F Rustamji.
The nascent force grew up from strength to strength to become one of the best and trusted professional forces in the country. The Crucial role played by the BSF in liberation of Bangladesh is unforgettable.
