Indore, Feb 28 (PTI) The Border Security Force will seek Rs 5,000 Cr from the Centre to undertake a modernisation project, a top official said here today.
Additional Director General Alexander Daniel said a proposal in this regard will be sent to the Centre soon.
"Once this proposal gets approved, the force will be able to procure required advanced arms and communication equipment," he said while giving away prizes to winners of a BSF shooting competition here.
A BSF reserve battalion will be set up in Bhopal in a couple of years, Daniel added.
