BSF apprehends Bangladeshis, seizes cattle

Shillong, Nov 15 : The BSF apprehended three Bangladeshis from Lattangtila border outpost area in East Khasi hills district today


BSF sources said here the trio was trying to infiltrate into India.

They have been identified as Sunil Singha and Pradip Singha of Tilokpur village, Maulavi Bazar and Bakul Mia of Jamarkona village, Kamalganj in Bangladesh.

Besides, BSF troops seized 58 cattle, liquor and other contraband items during the last 24 hours while these were being smuggled out to Bangladesh.

The estimated cost of the seized items was Rs 16,33,800, sources said.

The apprehended persons and the seized items have been handed over to the concerned department for further action, sources added.
