Modernization of CPFS


             The Government has approved a 5 year plan(2002-07) for modernization of 6 Central Para Military Forces Assam Rifle,(AR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Border Security Forces (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) andNational Security Guard (NSG) at an estimated const of Rs. 3740.71 crores in February 2002. Separately, the Government also approved a three-year plan (2005-08) formodernization of Sashatra SeemaBal (SSB) at an estimated cost of Rs. 444.43 crores in April, 2005. The Government also approved the extension of both the above plans upto 31.03.2011.

            The force-wise funds utilized duringeach of the last three years and the current year force-wiseis given below:-
