The DIG-level meeting between BSF and Pakistani Rangers were held at Octroi BOP along international border in RS Pura sector of Jammu district at 1100 hours, BSF Deputy Commandant S Balasubramaniam told PTI.

The Indian side was represented by over 20 officers, including DIGs C Vasudevan and S K Singh, he said, adding that the Pakistani delegation was led by Pak Rangers, Sector Commander, Brigadier Masood along with 15 other officers.

During the meeting, Vasudevan handed over sweets and exchange greetings with the Pakistani officers on the eve of Eid-ul-Zuha, he said.

The meeting was held in cordial atmosphere and both parties agreed to maintain peace and tranquillity along the international border, he added.
