गैर नक्सल इलाकों में पहले बिछेगी बीएसएफ की 'लाइफ लाइन'

रायपुर। बीएसपी के लिए लाइफ लाइन मानी जाने वाली 232 किमी रावघाट रेल लाइन का काम अब जल्द ही शुरू होने वाला है। पहले चरण में 95 किमी लंबी रेल लाइन बिछाने का काम दल्लीराजहरा से उन इलाकों में पहले शुरू होगा, जो गैर नक्सल प्रभावित क्षेत्र कहलाते हैं। इन इलाकों में जिलों की लोकल पुलिस सुरक्षा प्रदान करेगी। नक्सल इलाकों में काम के दौरान सीआरपीएफ और पुलिस फोर्स सुरक्षा का जिम्मा उठाएगी।


पुलिस मुख्यालय में गुरुवार शाम रावघाट परियोजना की सुरक्षा के संबंध में पुलिस और रेलवे अफसरों की बैठक बुलवाई गई। बैठक में मुख्यालय के अफसरों ने रेलवे अधिकारियों को रावघाट रेल क्षेत्र के नक्सल इलाकों की भोगौलिक परिस्थितियों की जानकारी दी। उन्हें तीनों जिले के इलाकों में आने वाले जंगल, गांव, पहाड़ियां और नदियों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई। 

BSF returns BD truck driver

LALMONIRHAT: Indian Border Security Force gave back a Bangladeshi truck driver on Friday, 16-hour after he was held from Burimari land port zero point.

On Thursday, Choton, 26, son of Amanullah Munshi of Tantipara area in Burimari port was picked up by BSF personnel.

Later, the truck driver was returned at about 11:30am after a commander level flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh and Border Security Force (BSF).

Lalmonirhat-31 BGB source told banglanews that Chhoton went to Changrabandha land port customs office with cotton-laden truck. BSF personnel picked up him at zero point while he was returning home.

Earlier, Burimari C&F Agent Association and Chanrabandha C&F Agent Association leader gave 72-hour ultimatum to return the Bangladeshi truck driver. Otherwise, export-import would be stopped through the Burimari land port on Saturday.

Two GNLA linkmen held in Meghalaya

Guwahati, July 20 (IANS) Two alleged GNLA linkmen have been arrested in Meghalaya, a BSF official said Friday.
Mikson R. Marak, 21, and Luthar Sangma, 25, were held during a joint BSF and police operation in the Salbari and Khorang Basti areas of West Garo Hills, the official said.
The duo have been accused of helping the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA), a militant outfit, in extortion and other illegal activities.
In another incident, BSF arrested a man in West Garo Hills for allegedly smuggling fake Indian currency notes, said an official.
Abdul Ajad Miya was arrested from the Kalaichar area.
BSF also recovered from him fake Rs.500 denomination notes amounting to Rs.10,000 and a mobile phone with a SIM card from Bangladesh.
