Likely Rate of Dearness Allowance (DA) For Jan-June 2011

The Labour Bureau, Government of India has released All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (AICPI-IW) on base 2001=100 for the month of Dec 2010. The value of the index for Dec 2010 is 185. Based on the figures of last relevant twelve months the Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees will be raised to 51% i.e. 6% increase over current rate of 45%.

The formal orders, however will be issued in March 2011.
