An infiltration attempt from across the international border
was foiled by security forces on Tuesday in Kathua district of Jammu &
Kashmir.
There was suspected movement of infiltrators near Zeroline
on International Border in Bobiya forward Border Out-post in Hiranagar tehsil
during midnight, a senior Border Security Force officer told sources.
Alert troops of BSF challenged them and opened fire
following which they returned to the Pakistani side, he said.
During search conducted in the area on Tuesday morning,
blood stains were found in the area, he said.
The infiltration bid took place in the ‘most-vulnerable’ Via
Tarnah nallah area in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
BSF has put border guards along IB on high alert to foil the
infiltrations.
