PTI | 09:04 PM,Apr 15,2011Chennai, Apr 15 (PTI) A four-tier protection is in place at the 91 counting centres across Tamil Nadu where the EVMs used in April 13 assembly elections have been kept in strong rooms.Central forces including BSF and RPF besides two divisions of state police will man the counting centres where barricades had also been placed as part of the security measures, state DGP Bholo Nath said."Each counting centre will be given four-tier security round the clock which are being overseen by a DSP. Personnel of BSF and RPF will man the entry and rear of the strong rooms where EVMs are kept," he said in a statement here.Further, personnel of Tamil Nadu Special Police and Armed Reserve are also part of the security mechanism which includes teargas vehicles."Outsiders will not be allowed entry into the centres which have been provided sufficient lighting," he said.Polling for 234 constituencies in the state was held on April 13 and counting of votes is scheduled for May 13.
