Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will visit Husainiwala on October 22 to lay the foundation stone of Husainiwala check post and a new visitors’ gallery.
A meeting was held on Monday to take stock of the arrangements. Ferozepur Deputy Commissioner Kamal Kishore Yadav said all arrangements were complete and officers of the district administration would coordinating with Border Security Force (BSF) officials to make the programme a success.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kestub Sharma, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Headquarter, BSF, Rajesh Gupta and other senior officers were present at the meeting.
