Fake notes worth Rs. 3 lakh seized, two held

Malda, West Bengal: Fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 3.03 lakh were seized from two persons here, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a locality in Englishbazar area last night and found the Abdul Karim and Mortaja Alam, residents of Nayagram village here in possession of the fake notes.
While 600 notes were in the denomination of Rs 500, three were of Rs 1000, they added.
