In Gujarat, the State Bank of India today launched an ATM in a hut at Dhordo village of Kutch district.
The Chief General Manager of SBI Gujarat P.Nandakumaran told that this ATM will cater to the need of 150 bordering villages. He said a special thumb impression device has been installed to allow the use of ATM by the illiterate villagers.
Reports says that this is the first ATM of the state which runs on solar power. Jawans of BSF who are manning the international border with Pakistan in the bordering district of Kutch will also be benefited by the ATM.
