With seven gold medals, Punjab Frontier finished as overall winners in the 33rd Inter-Frontier athletic meet here on Saturday.
Punjab topped the medals tally by winning two silver besides their seven gold, to finish ahead of second-placed Jammu Frontier who clinched five gold, six silver and six bronze medals. They were followed by North Bengal Frontier who won three gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
The meet that commenced on November 16, witnessed 23 events over the last one week.
Rajasthan came fourth with three golds, two silver and three bronze, closely followed by A&M Frontier with two gold, five silver and a bronze medal. South Bengal Frontier won two gold, one silver and four bronze medals, while Tripura Frontier managed a gold and a bronze each.
North Bengal's Sudan Roy, who won gold in long and triple jump, was awarded the best athlete of the meet.
