Shillong: A forty-year-old Indian woman died after she, along with two others, were assaulted by suspected Bangladeshi nationals along the Meghalaya-Bangladesh border. The three women of Nongskhen village were going to a bazar through on a jungle road adjacent to the Indo-Bangla border when they were assaulted. One of them, Ropal Malngian, succumbed to the injuries, the BSF said in a statement on Tuesday.
“As per preliminary post mortem report Ropal died due to head injury as she was hit with sharp weapons,” the BSF said. The two other women, Baro Ryngksai (25) and Aslin (32) were injured.
