NSG commando, wife found dead at Manesar house

From Hindustan Times
Gurgaon, April 04, 2011
A National Security Guard (NSG) commando and his wife were found dead at their second floor apartment in NSG complex in Manesar on Sunday morning. Both of them hanged themselves from the ceiling of their apartment one by one. The woman hanged herself in the morning on Sunday after seeing the body of her husband hanging by the ceiling fan. Her husband committed suicide on Saturday night.

Though no suicide note was found but the police claim it to be a case of domestic clash. Both the bodies have been sent for post mortem.
According to the police, K Parthasarthy, who hailed from Tamil Nadu, had been transferred to NSG from the Border Security Force (BSF) last year. He was staying on a second floor flat with his 26-year-old wife Akhila Devi since then.

Police suspect that some heated arguments must have happened between them on Saturday night after which the husband hanged himself from a ceiling fan once Akhila went to sleep.
In the morning when Akhila found her husband dead, she called family friends but as it was very early on a Sunday morning, no one received her call. Then she pulled him down and hanged herself.
On Sunday morning when Parthasarthy didn’t turn up for duty, someone was sent for him from the NSG and it was only then that the incident of twin suicide came to light. The matter was immediately reported to the senior officers.
