DHARAMSALA: One BSF Battalion shall be established in Shahpur near Dharamsala , the state government has transferred land for the same .stating this on Monday in Dharamsala Chief minister prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal said that one disaster management Battalion shall also be established in Kangra district at Nurpur 70 kms from here near Pathankot.
Dhumal said that his government has got sanctioned three Indira Reserve Battalions from the center in this tenure, beside one that was sanctioned in the last tenure of his government. He informed that one women battalion of Police, the only one of north India was recently established near Bhakhra Dam.
Dhumal today laid foundation stones of the development works in Dharamsala worth rs 18 crore, which include the laying of 400 meters synthetic track near the crcket stadium .this shall cost around 8 crore. He said that dharamsala is being developed as the sports city of the state, which already has the international standered stadium, where the 2 IPL matches were organized last year. Beside this it has one indoor stadium , NIS women sports hostel and other sports ground.
CM said that the state government has given the benefits at the tune of around 1200 crore to the farmers of the state. He said the himachal is signing one agreement o 440 crore with international Corporation of Japan in connection with the development of Bio Fertilizer in Himachal.
Dhumal said that the small state of Himachal shall be made an ideal state in India. And to to achieve this goal every citizen of Himachal have to work hard with honesty.
